One Day Training Intensives
Children's Ministries Department

One Day Training Intensives provide training that is on-site at a local church or conference facility in your district or region. This training intensive gives participants the opportunity to develop competency in two or more ministry skills through interactive learning, small group activities, and a question and answer session.

One Day Training Intensives target ministry volunteers but also provide training and resources for leaders in children’s ministry. The intensives focus on personal spiritual growth and the development of ministry and leadership skills. The intensives encourage the development of relationships among ministers in the region and in the local church as well as allowing regional leaders to target potential leaders for further mentoring, training, and leadership development. Because registration costs are low your entire ministry team can participate.

Since 2003, the one-day training intensives have provided training both locally and regionally to more than 1300 participants.

Funding
A one day training intensive is funded through registration fees paid by participants. Registration fees provide a light lunch, teaching materials, interactive instruction, and free resources. The local church or region hosting the event provides the training facility.

Promotion
Children's Ministries, International Office will promote the event by printing full color brochures for distribution by sponsoring ministry. A letter can also be included with the brochure from the international Children's Ministries Director, the regional overseer, or the pastor of the sponsoring local church. However, the greater responsibility for promotion rests with the sponsoring local church or region. Please be persistent in promoting this training event to local churches and individuals in your area through the most effective means available.

Facilities & Equipment
The sponsoring region or local church will provide the facility, needed equipment such as tables, sound, support personnel and translation equipment if needed.
