National Convention in Puebla, Mexico

More than 6000 people met together in Puebla, Mexico for the national convention of the Church of God of Prophecy.  Children's Ministry activities were led by the national director, Damaris Gutierrez Diaz.  More than 500 children met in a salon of the cultural center for worship and ministry as well as crafts and games.

The highlight of the Children's Ministry activities was the presentation to the convention on Saturday afternoon.  The children marched into the auditorium waving banners representing their local churches.  Watching these children and their ministers march in was a very inspirational moment for the entire congregation.  The program continued with a modern musical drama, "The Lost Sheep."

Also in the convention, Kathy Creasy, the International Children's Ministries Director, was given the opportunity to provide two sessions of children's ministry training to pastors and children's ministers.  The response was encouraging as pastors and children's ministers committed to focusing on the young harvest.

Many thanks to our National Overseer, Armando Dorantes, and National Children's Ministries director, Damaris Guitierrez Diaz, for placing a high value on children during this national convention.
